Week 3 - Lab Tools
1) Beaker A short fat container with a wide mouth and a spout for pouring. Can be used for mixing or measuring but not very accurate.

2) Graduated

A tall skinny container with a small mouth used to accurately measure liquids.

3) Test Tube

long, round, narrow glass container, sealed and rounded at one end, used in laboratories

4) Triple Beam

An instrument for measuring mass. It has three bars, a tray, and weights.
5)  Pipette A slender graduated tube used in a laboratory for measuring and transferring quantities of liquids from one container to another.
6) Thermometer Laboratory device used to measure temperature.
7) Hot Plate A small portable self-contained tabletop appliance that features one or more burners. In laboratory settings, they are generally used to heat glassware or its contents.
8) Meter Stick A rod or stick one meter in length that is graduated and used for measuring.
9) Microscope An instrument that makes small objects, sometimes too small to be seen with a human eye, appear larger.

10) Spring Scale

A type of scale consisting of a spring fixed at one end with a hook to attach an object at the other.
