Week 4 Vocabulary
1) Triple Beam
An instrument for measuring mass with three metal bars, a tray, and weights.
2) Beaker A short fat container with a wide mouth and a spout for pouring.
3) Meniscus The curved top of a liquid in a graduated cylinder.
4) Immerse To place in a liquid until it is completely covered.
5) Displacement How far a liquid moves because something is added to it.
6) Flammable Something that can catch on fire.
7) Corrosive To eat or wear away gradually.
8)   Graduated
A tall skinny container with a small mouth used to accurately measure liquids.
9) Apparatus The equipment or materials for a specific use or job.
10) Density How much stuff is packed into a certain area.
Density = mass/volume
